I always tack on some days before and/or after a work trip. So finally, before heading to Priorat, I ticked another off the bucket list: The Teatro–Museo Dalí in Figueres, Spain.
SALVADOR DALÍ WAS A GENIUS…I knew that already, but now I have a whole new appreciation for the breadth and depth of this his mind. He is a master of revolution, of Surrealism, Cubism, Impressionism, Futurism, sculpture, video, audio, jewelry…all the things!!!
And then a few weeks later, when I was just in Barolo, I discovered he uttered “He who can enjoy no longer drinks wine, but tastes secrets.” So he was a poet as well.
I already feel the need to go back—once is not enough. This content can’t do it justice, nothing can communicate how fascinating Dalí’s world is without seeing it for yourself.
Plus Figueres is a cute little town, deserving of an overnight stay, just less than two hours from Barcelona and close to the Costa Brava.
Soon I’ll post the perfect plan to inspire your visit!
